Olympic Time Again by Michael Miyasaki, DDS

It is always awe inspiring to see what the human body can be pushed to do as we watch the most talented young men and women in the world fly, slide and mentally push themselves to perform their best all the while knowing that the world is watching. I think they are fortunate to have found that activity they can concentrate on and at which they can excel at doing. These top performers also have their support systems of trainers, nutritionists, coaches, etc. Ever consider what type of dental professional we’d be if we had such a support system?

Thomas G. Walker, DMD

As an engineering student in college, Dr. Walker was introduced to dentistry by the chairman of the dental school’s biomaterials department when he attended a seminar on dental materials. One of Dr. Walker’s favorite new products is the iPod he uses to play music throughout his office. He says that his patients make suggestions about the types of music to include, and he even burns CDs for them of their favorite tunes.
